After nine months of pregnancy, nothing can compare to the joy of finally meeting your beautiful baby. Just as your new baby will need attention and care, we believe mothers should also embrace the importance of caring for themselves after delivery.
We support new mothers in their recovery and restoration process. Our therapist is trained by Restoring Mums International Training Academy (RMITA) and use techniques of traditional jamu massage, abdominal binding, lymph drainage, scar massage and natural remedies – all tried and tested to support women with their post-natal healing.
This is an ancient whole-body massage that specifically helps to restore the body post-pregnancy. Jamu is the name of a traditional medicine in Indonesia and this technique has been used and trusted for generations throughout Southeast Asia.
Postnatal Bengkung Abdominal Binding
Many women find that abdominal binding can help the body recover after delivery, especially in the case of a C-section. Sore and stretched muscles and ligaments can benefit from the support of binding with lengths of soft but strong fabric when it is expertly done.
Our therapist will place the binding from just below the breasts to the upper thighs and give advice on how tight the bindings should be. In addition, we will advise you on frequency and the length of time that the bindings should be worn.
