Fascia Release Massage
Improving Blood Circulation and Stimulating Lymphatic Flow

What is Fascia Release Massage?

How Can We Help

Fascial Release Massage treats muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood circulation and stimulating lymphatic flow.

Many individuals lose flexibility or function at some point, whether through injury, surgery, trauma or poor posture or lifestyle habits. Symptoms often occur in the neck, back, shoulders, hips and knees, while other common conditions that can be treated are TMJ (temporal-mandibular joint disorder), migraines and carpal tunnel syndrome.

These symptoms often develop as a result of tight fascia, which is a thin, elastic like layer of connective tissue (primarily collagen) beneath the skin that attaches, encloses, stabilises, and separates muscles and other internal organs as appropriate. If this fascia becomes unduly tight it can restrict motion and even pull the body out of alignment, for example causing the individual to favour or overuse one hip or shoulder.

Tightened fascia can also exert excessive pressure on muscles and joints, resulting in pain, while a second source of pain is the myofascial tissue itself. When the tissue becomes damaged, muscle fibers contract, resulting in a ‘trigger point’. In both cases, the contraction or restriction restricts blood flow and this in turn exacerbates the problem.

Fascia Release Massage is a safe and very effective hands-on technique to release tight fascia. Gentle, slow and sustained pressure is applied to the body to release and relax the connective tissue, allowing the blood and lymph to flow freely and pain free ease of movement to be restored.
